So you just finished watching yet another Family Guy re-run.
It’s practically midnight… but your stomach is rumbling.
You want to eat something that will fill you up… without making you store fat.
And if this snack could help you build lean muscle mass, well that would be a bonus.
My personal favorite?
Hard-boiled eggs.
Obviously, this strategy works better if you’ve already hard boiled the eggs earlier in the day.
But assuming you have, you just grab a few hardboiled eggs from the ‘fridge. Personally, I eat 3.
Peel the eggs, cut them in half lengthwise, add some salt, some pepper and drizzle some mustard on top.
Scarf ‘em down and chug some water.
Now, here’s what you’ve got:
With the eggs, the salt and the water you’ll be feeling quite full. Personally, I find it almost impossible to fall
asleep hungry so this snack works well to knock out the hunger so you can fall asleep.
Plus, you’re going to get about 15 grams of fat and 18 grams of protein with almost zero carbs. The fat will slow down the digestion allowing
the protein to “drip” to your muscles all night long. And because there’s virtually no carbs, there’s no spike in insulin meaning you’re less likely to store these calories as fat.
But there’s another benefit…
The yolk of an egg contains a high level of arachidonic acid — which helps your body produce
muscle-building and fat-burning hormones.
So next time your stomach starts rumbling late at night, try this snack and you can enjoy waking up a little leaner and little more muscular.

Matt,
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this tip!!!
It happens to me all the time late at night, and I used to just drink 2-4 cups of Almond Milk, it worked on making me stop feeling so hungry, but it still left me feeling empty inside.
I’m going to try this tip tonight!
You rock man! thanks.
