Casey Butt doesn’t update his blog too often. (Yeah, yeah, I know. I’m not so great about updating my blog either. But I’m working on it, alright?)
But when he does, it’s always a good read.
Last week, he wrote a post about a mathematical formula you can use to predict your maximum potential strength levels in the squat, bench press and deadlifts.
For some reason, plenty of “meatheads” like to argue with Casey about these formulas. I’ll bet he gets plenty of hatemail and I’ll bet most of it sounds like this:
“Yo, your formula is bull! My uncle knows a guy who weighs 190 pounds and can bench 2,498 pounds — twice!”
You”ll note it’s always “my uncle knows a guy.”
But for you, me and the rest of average joes out there — Casey’s formulas are pretty accurate.
So go check out the formula and run the numbers for yourself.
